Lesson Plan (Listening)

Topic: Future plans
Function: Using the future tense to talk about plans.
Timing: 40 minutes
Materials: Pictures, worksheets.
Level: Beginners
Age: Adolescents
Previous Knowledge: Proper nouns, Simple Present Tense, Present Progressive Tense, Prepositions, nouns.



General Objective:
To describe different future plans using “Would Like”.


Specific Objectives:
Students will relate pictures with statements.
Students will comprehend the use of would like in a dialogue.
Students will think of future plans using would like.


Pre-Activity
Procedure
1. Students will work individually.
2. Students will receive a handout with different activities.
3. Students will match the pictures with statements.


While-Activity
Procedure
1. Students will receive a handout with an incomplete dialogue.
2. Students will listen to a dialogue about “what would you like to eat”.
3. Students will complete the missing words.

LESSON PLAN #1

Lesson Plan (Speaking)

Function: Talk about different future plans.
Timing: 40 minutes.
Materials: Worksheets, counters and cards.
Level: Beginners
Previous Knowledge: Students know the use of simple present and present progressive tense.
Students Know about personal pronouns, prepositions of place.

General Objective: Students will to describe future plans using pictures.

Specific Objective:
· Students will describe future plan using pictures.
· Students will share information about future activities.
· Students will memorize future activities in a logical sequence.


Pre-Activity
Board game

Procedure:

-Students will be sent one by one to the board.
-The student who goes to board has to turn the roulette to point to one picture.
-The students have to think of a future plan using would like.
-The students says a complete sentence according to what he/she sees on the picture.



While-Activity

Procedure

- Get students in pairs.
- Each student receives a handout with different answers and questions.
- Students A asks questions to student B and vice-verse.
- Each student has to ask and answer to each other.





Post-Activity
Memory Game

Procedure:

-Students work individually
-Each student will receive a handout.
- Each student will have to write five future plans using “would like”
